Delete your account

Delete from within the app

1. Open the The Local app and sign in.
2. Go to the Profile tab.
3. Tap Delete Account and confirm.

If you can't access the app, email us from the address on your account and we'll process your deletion request: info-thelocal@linkifysolutions.com.

What happens to your data

• Your account is deactivated immediately and you are signed out on every device.
• Sign in again within 120 days and your account is restored — including your Wallet balance, your loyalty points and your activity history.
• After 120 days the account is closed for good. Any Wallet balance and loyalty points are forfeited and cannot be recovered, and your name, contact details and birthday are removed.
• Your order and payment records are kept without your name so we can answer payment disputes and meet our bookkeeping obligations.
• Records we're required to keep for legal, tax, or fraud- prevention reasons may be retained for the period the law requires, then deleted.
